The historic village center is located right on the Saaler Bodden and features a charming 19th-century brick village church. For your daily needs, there are two supermarkets, a bakery, a post office, and a bank—ideal for a hassle-free vacation. The Baltic Sea beach is just a few minutes’ drive away via well-maintained bike paths.
This former captains’ village on the Saaler Bodden is known for its cobblestone, historic village street—a designated historic site—lined with historic captains’ houses, and its small salt harbor with a yacht club. Quiet, with a village atmosphere, and surrounded by nature—it’s an ideal starting point for bike rides, sailing trips, and walks along the Bodden.

Dierhagen’s fine, light-colored sandy beach stretches about 7 kilometers in length and is up to 30 meters wide. There are lifeguard-patrolled sections, designated nude areas, and a dog beach—something for everyone right on the Baltic Sea.
All neighborhoods of the Baltic Sea resort town of Dierhagen are connected by well-developed bike paths. From Dändorf and Dierhagen Dorf, you can easily explore Ahrenshoop, Wustrow, and the entire peninsula by bike.
On the Bodden side lies the Baltic Sea resort of Dierhagen in the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft Nature Park—a paradise for waterfowl, sailors, and hikers. The “Große Moor” south of Neuhaus, with its observation points, is perfect for peaceful walks.
The small marina in Dändorf offers berths for visiting sailors, water and electricity hookups, and restroom facilities. It’s a lovely starting point for boat trips on the Saaler Bodden.
